March Goals

Happy Monday! Oh my goodness...can you believe that it's already March? I keep hearing everyone say that January felt like a long month and February felt like it went by way too fast. I actually think January went by fast and February lasted forever. Either way, I'm really excited for this month. There are a lot of exciting things that are going to happen this month.

Since it's going to be a busy month, I had to make sure that I made some new goals as well as use my planner to make sure that everything goes as planned. Today, I thought it would be great to do a recap on my February goals as well as share my new goals for March.

Recap of February Goals
  • Read 1 book: I finished reading My Friend Fear by Meera Lee Patel. You can read my review here
  • Meal plan more: This was such a fail. I have got to do better. If you have any tips on meal planning...please share them.
  • Make more art: I didn't really make any art in February, but I did get some supplies that I needed for some projects that I need to complete.
  • Post 15 blog posts: I published exactly 15 blog posts this month.
  • Try new writing techniques: I also did not try any new writing techniques, but I did make a list of some techniques that I want to try.

March Goals

  • Read 1 book
  • Start meal planning
  • Publish 10 blog posts
  • Make at least 3 scrapbook/craft projects
  • Declutter one room or closet
What are your goals for March?

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...

  1. I love these goals! It's so helpful to commit to a few things you want to achieve at the start of the month. What are you reading now?

    1. I'm not reading anything yet, but I plan to read either The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro or Your Story is Your Power by Elle Luna and Susie Herrick in the next few days. I'm just waiting for my local Barnes and Noble to get those two books in stock.

    1. Thanks Beth. I can't wait to start decluttering. I think I'm going to try this 30 Day Declutter Challenge that I heard about on Facebook.

  3. I usually do my meal planning on Sundays, and head to the grocery store on Mon or Tues (my grocery store is way too crowded on the weekend). On Sundays, I'll go through my cabinets/fridge and see what I have, then check out the circular to see what's on sale, and then make a plan around that. I also made a list of my favorite dishes so when I'm in a rut or craving something but not sure what, I can turn to that. And of course, I use Pinterest boards for new recipes. Carving out a specific day/time for meal planning really helped! Cleaning out a closet and reading a book are on my list too. Good luck with all of your goals!

    1. That's a great idea. I think I'm going to start looking in my cabinets, fridge, and freezer before I go shopping as well. I definitely have to check out Pinterest for some recipes...I've been wanting to try some new recipes. Thank you for the awesome ideas.

  4. Love these goals! I need to sit down and figure specific numbers for March but I would love to increase my blog traffic and social media followers, commit to a blogging schedule, and spend time with the family with one on one dates.

  5. 15 blog posts, way to go! I like your goal of decluttering one room/closet. I need to do that as well. Sometimes I feel like I have to do EVERYTHING at once but that's just not possible!

    1. Thank you! I really need to learn to just slow down. I always end up getting overwhelmed and exhausted when I try to do too much.

  7. The Micron pen (in your picture) is one of my new favorite pens. :)

Meal planning is awesome. It took me longest time to give it a try and now I won't live without it ever again.

    1. I love Micron pens. I still use Sharpie fine point pens, but Micron pens are starting to become my favorite pens.

  8. I meal prep my breakfasts and lunches every Sunday and it is so helpful. Total it's about an hour - 2 hours of my time and I'm not left figuring out what I'll have for lunch the day of. Hope that helps and good luck with your goals.

    1. That is a great idea. I think I may have to choose a day and just make a meal plan as well as check the fridge and freezer so that I can come up with recipes for the month.

  9. I really need to do better with meal planning too - it's honestly just for dinners too, since I have these shakes I do for most breakfasts and lunches, but it's still difficult for me! LOL I think part of it is trying to find healthy things - if I could eat anything, it would be easier to plan.

    1. I mainly have to meal plan for dinners as well. Usually I can come up with something for breakfast and lunch. What kind of shakes do you make?

  11. A week into March and I’m still flabbergasted we blew through February as quick as we did!
I noticed your blog post count for March will be down, which is unlike you. I think you’re smart to slow down as bit as you hear the home stretch. It’s realistic, right?

Wishing you a wonderful month of March Emily. :)

P.S. Seeing your image makes me want to get a sticker pack for my planner and Jazz it up a bit. :)

    1. Hi Lindsay! I thought it would be a great idea to lower my blog post count especially since this month is going to be very busy and I don't want to overwhelm or stress myself out. I hope you have a great weekend.
